The Assassin’s Creed
The Assassin’s Creed is an action adventure video game series that has been developed by Ubisoft. The game depicts the struggle between the assassins who fight for the peace of the country by free will and the Templars who desire peace through control.
The background of the game
The Assassin’s Creed features historical characters and a historical background mixed with real world historical events and figures. The game has been inspired by the novel Alamut while the concepts have been added up from the Prince of Persia series. The video game has also been developed into a movie, a comic series and a novel which takes place within the same continuity as the main video game series.
How the game is played
The Assassin’s Creed has been presented through the protagonist Desmond Miles and the whole game features the memories of Desmond’s experiences and the memories of his ancestors through a device called the Animus. Desmond’s ancestors’ health is shown along with his goals, equipments, and other features as part of the Animus interface. This Animus is based on the player who is trying to control the assassin to strike a balance between Desmond and his ancestor’s memories. If there are actions that go against the Assassins way of dying, the synchronization effectively requires the player to start at a previous checkpoint. The player cannot explore in outside areas that the assassin has yet not explored.
Assassin’s Creed is presented in the third person game in an open world and focuses on stealth and free running. The game uses a mission structure to follow the main story and assigns the player to complete an assassination of public figureheads or a covert mission. Several side missions are also available like mapping out the expanding cities from a high perch followed by performing a leap of faith into a haystack below and collecting treasures that are hidden all across the cities. You can also explore the relics, rebuilding the city through purchase of wealth and upgrading the shops and the other features. The combat system also allows for a number of exclusive weapons, armor, and moves, including the use of a hidden blade set in a bracer on the Assassin’s arm, which also can be used to quietly assassinate targets.
